Raphael Reitzig, 2011

October 2011

These are the webpages of and by Raphael Reitzig. I have been around since 1987 and am currently a doctorand of computer science. I grew up in Schlüchtern, Germany, where I endured enjoyed public education all the way up to the A-levels. After that, I studied computer science in Kaiserslautern, Germany. I thought it would be a demanding and fun subject and I have yet to be proven wrong. Winter 2010/11 was dedicated to finding out wether or not I wanted to go for a PhD; for this purpose I went to Chalmers in Göteborg, Sweden. I have successfully wrapped up my studies since and have taken up a PhD position, trying to bring more parallelism to regular programmers.

When I take a break from studying and working I enjoy reading, music, handball, ballroom dance, pen & paper RPG, programming and surfing the web. I am also known to occasionally annoy friends and colleagues with pointless but intense discussions and random factoids. This website is another hobby and meant to collect thoughts and (virtual) creations of mine that I think others might be interested in or even find useful.

By the way, I deny any responsibility for content on external sites I link to. You can not prevent others from producing sick things, right? I am — for better or worse — responsible for these pages here, though. Please contact me if you feel your personal rights or business plans violated by the content I provide; I almost surely do not intend to do so. Thank you.
